Gwyneth Paltrow finally Rocks

Wed, 26 August 2009 | Jo Ellis

Gwyneth finally uses her celeb status for good. Zoe Tees loves Gwyneth Paltrow brings together great style with the perfect cause, and we've fallen for it hard.

MumsRock has had a complicated relationship with Gwyneth Paltrow over the years. We had a little Cheryl-Cole-girl-crush on her when she turned up fresh-faced on the arm of Brad Pitt. Then when she disappeared from view after hooking up with slightly nerdy, whiny muso Chris Martin aka the boy from the back of the class with writing on his hand,  we admired her ability to walk away from the Hollywood glamour-mill. When she slouched around as a new mum in yesterday's clothes and no make-up we counted her as one of us. And then she turned. Sky-high Louboutins and micro minis had us all wondering what the Paltrow she was up to. And let's not get into Goop. Oh, alright then let's. Firstly we don't have time to detox. We don't even have time to read about detox. And carrot juice isn't going to get you onto the school run like a hard-core shot of caffeine and a danish. But she's finally pulled something out of her (Chanel 2.55) bag that we don't just like. We LOVE!

This week ladies-who-lunch online faves Matches.com unveiled the collaboration between la Paltrow and Zoes Tees and despite the fact the average cost of one of these lovelies being equivalent to a month's worth of groceries for us humble civilians, they really do rock! In particular we're hearting the silver studded racer back black vest top (£398) which we'd do (almost) anything to get our hands on. With a fine line in drapery and cut these tees, plus one delicious one-shouldered jersey maxi, are the ultimate in our fantasy wardrobes. Best of all - all profits (yes all) go to probably one of the best children's charities in the world, Camilla Batmanghelidjh's Kids Company, which provides practical, emotional and educational support to traumatised and vulnerable inner-city children and teenagers.

If the prices of this collection are too steep for even your emergency fashion fund, then check out the cute Bare Threads tees designed by some of the children the charity has helped at Kidsco.org.uk. We love the black V neck tee with flames design by 9 year old James Roegboegwu. And at fifteen quid a pop, we think it's a no-brainer.
