Liam Gallagher is Pretty Green

Hold on to your gin and tonic Liam Gallagher is entering the rag trade. Let's face it if Kate Moss can do it, then why not Liam?  Both 'superstars' are style icons (well more than most busy thirty-something parents), both have resisted a total Hello! sell-out and both have recognition in a global, albeit slightly edgy way. Which all adds up to what we are sure Sir Alan would call 'a bleeding good business idea'.

Pretty Green is a new clothing range founded, designed and signed off (presumably with lots of f-words) by Oasis front man, and husband of ex-All Saint Nicole Appleton, Liam Gallagher. Details on the actual range are still somewhat under wraps but we're promised classic designs in footwear, denim, hats, jackets, tees and more. We're already feeling the love of Pretty Green's retro-cool logo, as well as the mighty fine parka Liam is sporting in this slightly chilly looking preview shot from yesterday's Beachy Head promo shoot.

Liam says he's not in it for the money but rather wanted to create clothes that he would wear: "Clothes and music are my passion. I'm not here to rip anyone off and I'm not doing it for the money either. I'm doing it cuz there's a lack of stuff out there of the things I would wear"

And judging by some of the distinctly shoddy ensembles sported by many of our other half's, this is not before time.
