What a funny week, but not for Madonna. I'm sorry for her of course, this must feel much worse for  her than it would for a normal person.  It's not like she's used to rejection, so it's probably much much more painful for her than for people like me and Mr Farrow who have been dealing with rejection for quite some time. Plus we've realistically got a fair bit more to come whereas she probably won't get another 'No' again any time soon.

In this new spirit of what does'nt kill you just makes you stronger, I decide to try another couple of local councils. And I get another couple of rejections. I’m trying to maintain a positive stance in the face of all this negativity but I am beginning to feel about as popular as Heather Mills McCartney.

And then a really funny thing happened. Just as I was about to give up on my ring-around I got a yes. Okay it wasn't a full-blown: 'Yes, come right over we've got just what you're looking for!'. But it was a yes. And then a 'but'. because there is always a BUT - and this one was to ask if we can bear to wait another three months and then call again. Our Miracle Boy is causing the delay again, they want him older, we love him just the way he is. But it's all good.
